Girl Baby – பெண் மகவு

I have been visiting Puliyanur twice a week to meet with pregnant women. Due to continuous rain this week, I couldn’t make the visit. Yesterday was the first time I went since last Wednesday. The pregnant woman I met on the very first day of Eetrarai has given birth to a baby girl.

Fifteen days before her due date, she experienced labor pain on Sunday evening. When she went to the nearby Primary Health Center, they advised her to be taken to a bigger hospital. They went to Dharmapuri Government Hospital. There she gave birth to the girl baby via cesarean section. Both mother and baby are healthy. As of now, we only know that the baby weighs 3.9 kg, but the reason for the cesarean section is unknown. Let’s keep them in our prayers for their well-being.

Beyond genuine medical reasons for cesareans, there are some myths circulating among people. A woman I know once said that the doctors performed a cesarean because they told her that, due to her excess weight, she wouldn’t have the strength to push the baby out. How false that information is!

வாரத்தில் இரண்டு நாட்கள் புலியானூர் சென்று கர்பமானவர்களை சந்தித்து வந்துகொண்டிருந்தேன். இந்த வாரம் தொடர் மழையால் செல்ல இயலவில்லை. கடந்த புதனுக்கு பிறகு நேற்று தான் சென்றேன். ஈற்றரை தொடங்கிய அன்று முதன் முதலாக சந்தித்த கர்பவதிக்கு பெண் மகவு பிறந்துள்ளது.

இன்னும் 15 நாட்கள் இருக்கும் நிலையில் ஞாயிறு மாலை வலி வந்திருக்கிறது. அருகிலுள்ள ஆரம்ப சுகாதார நிலையத்திற்கு சென்ற போது பெரிய மருத்துவமனைக்கு கூட்டிச் செல்லுங்கள் என்று கூறியிருக்கின்றனர். தர்மபுரி அரசு மருத்துவமனையில் அறுவை சிகிச்சை மூலம் குழந்தை பிறந்துள்ளது. தாயும் சேயும் நலம்.

குழந்தை 3.9 கிலோ எடை என்ற தகவல் வரை மட்டும் இப்பொழுது தெரிந்துள்ளது. அறுவை சிகிச்சைக்கான காரணம் தெரியவில்லை. இருவரின் நலனுக்காக நம் பிரார்த்தனைகள்.

அறுவை சிகிச்சைக்கான உண்மையான மருத்துவக் காரணங்களைத் தாண்டி சில கற்பனை காரணங்களும் மக்களிடையே பரவலாக உள்ளது. எனக்குத் தெரிந்த ஒரு பெண்ணுக்கு அவள் எடை கூடுதலாக இருப்பதால் குழந்தையை வெளியே தள்ளும் சக்தி இருக்காது என்று கூறி மருத்துவர்கள் அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்ததாக கூறினாள். எவ்வளவு பொய்யான தகவல்.
